A wonderful way to protect baby from direct sun to unexposed parts of the body. Do remember to use a specialized baby sunscreen for the exposed bits. Hats and sunglasses are also recommended. BUT even with all this protection baby should not be in direct sun for long and keep to early morning and late afternoon. Stay out of midday sun.
Keep in mind that babies do not control their temperatures well, so keep a constant check and regular sips of water to prevent any dehydration.
