Do you want Your Swimwear to last longer?

Chlorine, sea salt, body acid, sunscreen and sunshine - are all going to eat away at the spandex in your swimwear and speedup the degradation.

Degradation manifests like sand. So if you are wondering how come your pool only garment is shedding sea sand -  time to go shopping.

The only way to slow this down and get maximum lifespan from your cozi is good habits that you follow each and every time.

Rinse straight after use - I normally head for the shower with my costume still on, beach or gym, or just run a little water in the basin and slop it about, wringing out a few times to clear the chemicals.

Do not put it in a plastic bag wet - EVER. wring it out in your towel so its already pretty dry and spread it out on the top of all your other stuff in your bag with hand towel under it to absorb moister and stop your other goodies getting wet.

Wash in the basin with some soap or detergent when you get home (make sure you rinse all the soap out) or pop it into the washing machine the next day, on a delicate cycle at under 30 degrees and hang up to dry in the shade.

Wash it with your regular earth friendly soap powder, and NO fabric softener.

Might seem a bit obvious, but do not iron or tumble dry and yes, I have had garments returned with an iron imprint clearly visible.

If you swim upwards of twice a week you might want to get a couple of costumes and alternate them.

If you are are going to be lolling about for ages in hot mineral spring water - use old costumes or be prepared for substantially shorted garment life.

With 20 years of experience in swimwear my wash care regime is gospel and following them will reward your garments with long life.

Kind Regards Gail
